The Acorn Centre is
a post-secondary training/coaching facility, providing high quality,
professional, challenging and transformative experiences for individuals and
businesses for more than a decade.
Included in our
repertoire of experience and formal training are three decades of successful
experience as educators in English Language and Literature, Theology,
Administrative Theory and Praxis, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, team
and community building and Licensing as Trainer/Consultant in Technologies for
CreatingTM.
The name, The Acorn
Centre, is derived from James Hillman's text, The Soul's Code, in which he
articulates the "acorn theory" of human patterns and archetypes. Extending the
thought of C. J. Jung, Hillman has attempted to move psychology away from
diagnostics and pharmacology toward the individual "story" of each human being.
Recovering the story, with all the voices and experiences, in Hillman's view,
restores a perspective of wholeness and creative imagination.
